In this article, I will cover how you update your Navigation maps on a Media Nav Evolution 9.1.3.
If we split the guide into pieces, it will consist of the following things I will go through.
1: Update your Media Nav Evolution or Media Nav to latest official version.
2: Backup your entire Navigation with Medianav Special Tool v2.1 by Mgarni.
3: Upgrade nngnavi.exe in Media Nav Evolution or Media Nav, and install sync.
4: Collect and send device information from your Media Nav Evolution or Media Nav, to a USB key.
5: Update content maps, POI, speedcams etc. with Medianavtoolbox 1.5.6
6: Update your Media Nav Evolution or Media Nav with new content.
Update your Media Nav Evolution or Media Nav to latest version.
First thing is to ensure you are running the latest version available, on your Media Nav Evolution or Media Nav.

Backup your entire Navigation.
As always it is a good idea, to backup your entire navigation before you proceed.
If something should happen, you can easy revert back to the original state.
For be able to make a backup, you should use Medianav Special Tool v2.1 by Mgarni which can be found from here
Unpack/extract the RAR files and copy them on to a USB key with at least 16GB and it should be formatted as FAT32 filesystem.
Take the USB key to your car, and start the engine when Media Nav is started then put the USB key in and wait.
It will say no files on USB key, but don’t worry.
After some time, click on the blue icon as seen below.
After that, it will looke like this.
Select “Navi backup” it take some time to make the backup.
Please wait, until it is finished.
Upgrade nngnavi.exe in Media Nav and Evolution or Media Nav, and install sync.
Use the USB key with Medianav Special Tool v2.1 by Mgarni which was created earlier in this guide, can be found from here select 8 – Install Sync for Unleashed wait until it is finished.
Collect and send device information from your Media Nav Evolution or Media Nav, to a USB key
Take a empty USB key, and collect device information from your Media Nav Evolution or Media Nav.
Go to “Options -> map update -> Options -> Update” which will collect and send device information to your USB, which will be used in Medianavtoolbox.
Update content maps, POI, speedcams etc. with Medianavtoolbox
Take your USB key, which contains device information that we got in above step.
Connect it to your PC, and then open MediaNavToolBox. Download link
Change the path to your updated maps in MediaNavToolBox.
When it has been selected, then hit update all my maps.
After some time, it has been updated.
Update your Media Nav Evolution or Media Nav with new content.
Take the USB key to your car, and start the engine when Media Nav is started then put the USB key in and wait.
Do the update.
After update, you can see new maps.
